John Hackett, Ed. D is a servant leader who assists leaders and organizations in going from where they are to where they want to be by offering coaching, training, speaking, and writing services. Dr. Hackett is a repurposed high school teacher, counselor and administrator, university administrator, and professor teaching graduate and doctoral-level leadership classes. He currently presents leadership topics in the south suburbs of Chicago and beyond with State of Illinois approves coaching materials. John is the C.C.O. (Chief Connecting Officer) of Making Connections, a leadership consulting company affiliated with Maxwell Leadership, as an Executive-level Corporate Facilitator—the Center for Teacher Effectiveness and the Table Group and Growing Leaders. John is a licensed coach, speaker, DISC consultant, and certified facilitator for the table groups, licensed to use the Six Working Genius A assessment. He is a growing, learning entrepreneur in speaking, coaching, and training, passionate about equipping leaders to develop other leaders to serve. John has been a regular contributor to the Network Marketing Magazine, with 40 plus articles, and is the author of the LinkedIn newsletter Thursdays Leadership Insight with 275 articles and over 500 subscribers @drjohnhackett. He is a consistent contributor on social media and hosts a yearly Leadership Learning Experience, Live2Lead, featuring videos from world-class speaker, connection activities with local leaders and giving back to local nonprofit organizations.
He has been married for 47 years to Becki, a 46-year entrepreneur, and has three daughters and two grandsons. John is also a long-distance bicyclist, an open water swimmer, and an aqua bike triathlon competitor.
